John Lennon Milk and Honey

I found these album in 1992 in a used record store. I really like the song Nobody Told me when the album was released around 1984. I was to young to know much about John Lennon. I knew he was a Beatle and that he had been murdered in New York. So the song got some strong air play at the time and it got stuck in my head. As I got a little older, I became a big Beatles fans and even bigger John Lennon fan. Here was a man with so much to give the world and his life cut short. So I remember getting this album home and listening to the whole album. It featured a few Yoko Ono tracks that were alright, but it was the track Grow old with me that really stood out. This was one of John's last song created as a demo at home on a piano drum machine and porta studio. The raw sound of the song and the emotion is a rare treasure. This song was supposed to have been a song people could play at there weddings and a classic song for all time. The passing of John Lennon left this song in demo state and Yoko cleaned up the track a little for this release. The album Milk and Honey is a classic to me because of Grow old with me and Nobody told me. It is an album worth listening to and having in a collection.
